Museum of Music 10'

Task is to design a small public museum; the Museum of Music. Bearing in mind that we spend most of our time on the inside of a building rather than the outside, it is appropriate that we pay more attention to the internal qualities of this building. We will deal with each of the major spaces of the building in turn, starting with the first two Rooms. This page focuses on one particular special space/place/room within the museum - the “Chamber of Echoes”.

Placeing Hall of Harmony and Chamber of Echoes into the prescribed site context. The site for the museum is a vacant area of land in Elizabeth Street, betweenGeorge Street and Albert Street, adjacent to the back of the Myer Centre, behind the remnant facades of ‘George Symon’s Suits’ and ‘St Francis House’.
